Lifeguard, Gate Attendant and Swim Instructor positions are seasonal, employees must re-apply each pool season.

LIFEGUARD
Responsibilities:
Execute daily pool opening and closing procedures
Actively supervise the main pool and all swimmers to ensure safety
Provide lifeguarding services according to American Red Cross standards
Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, grounds, and facilities
Help maintain a safe, orderly, and friendly environment for members and guests.
Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old by May 1, 2025
Hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certifications
WGHOA will reimburse the cost of Lifeguard Training after the employee has completed 40 hours of lifeguard service at Encore Pool

GATE ATTENDANT
Responsibilities:
Execute pool opening and closing procedures
Perform member and guest check-in at the main entrance
Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, grounds, and restrooms
Man and manage the Snack Shack, including handling basic transactions and stocking supplies
Help ensure a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment for all members and guests.
Requirements:
Must be at least 14 years old by May 1, 2025
Current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification required

SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Responsibilities:
Provide swimming instruction to children of all ages and skill levels
Follow Encore Pool’s swim lesson plans and curriculum under the direction of the Swim Lesson Coordinator
Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents and the Swim Lesson Coordinator about student progress
Promote water safety and proper swimming techniques
Responsibilities:
Provide swimming instruction to children of all ages and skill levels
Follow Encore Pool’s swim lesson plans and curriculum under the direction of the Swim Lesson Coordinator
Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents and the Swim Lesson Coordinator about student progress
Promote water safety and proper swimming techniques
Work Permit may be required from your High School please check with the school administrations.
